The Lusitania was the world’s largest and fastest ocean liner when built she served the Cunard line with distinction. In the First World War she continued on her transatlantic service however in May 1915 she was torpedoed and sunk with huge loss of life within sight of Ireland.
The kit this model is built from is long out of production and with the moulds reputed to be destroyed it will probably never be available again. I have added a dedicated etching set to this very old model and she now accurately represents the Atlantic greyhound in her prime. (See the painting section for my representation of the sinking, profiled from this model)
