H.M.S. Coventry was a light cruiser built just after the First World War, she incorporated many of the lessons learned during that conflict. Over the years she was modernised continually to keep up with the technological advances which were coming thick and fast through the 20s and 30s.
The Coventry was in the Mediterranean at the outbreak of WW2 and was sent to help with the evacuation of Crete she shot down more German aircraft than any other cruiser; unfortunately she was bombed and sunk in this theatre with heavy loss of life.
The model is made from resin and because she is relatively new the casting is exceptional however during construction I found I had to change many aspects of the kit in order to get an accurate finish. This model received a commendation at the world show in 2013.
