H.M.S. Conqueror 1982

Project Description

The H.M.S. Conqueror was a nuclear powered attack submarine built for the Royal navy in the 70S these submarines were powerful and capable they put the fear of God into surface ship crews as they could strike without warning. The conqueror became famous during the Falklands war when she torpedoed and sunk the Argentine Cruiser General Belgrano.

My painting shows a rare situation as the submarine is on the surface this is not a common thing for these silent hunters which are much more at home under the ocean than on top.
